This webinar provides an overview of the NASA process for reviewing and managing on-orbit safety and mission risk. The session will highlight both the need for well-structured processes and the involvement of technical experts to inform critical decisions and will draw on experience from a number of flown missions.

Speaker bio: Lisa Kauke Thomas is the Director of Program Management at Honeybee Robotics in Pasadena, California. Her team manages technology development projects, primarily for NASA planetary exploration missions. She has a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury. Lisa has worked in the aerospace industry for ten years, and specialises in technical and programmatic risk management.
