LUNCH AND LEARN - MACHINE SAFETY - CASE STUDY

This lunch & learn event will give you the opportunity to hear first hand from Warren Wagner of TEG Risk and Sustainability, about their dealings with an Italian manufacturer of animal hide fleshing machines.

The manufacturer applied a self certified CE marking to their machines, which was found, here in NZ, to be lacking.

Warren used the machinery directive as a tool for challenging the European manufacturer, who eventually improved their machine with a modification to better align their product with the machinery directive.

Our plan is to run this as a discussion forum. I.e. Warren will do a short presentation, and participants will then have an opportunity to ask questions and take part in an interactice discussion.
